Increase Your Home's Asking Price

When you sell your home you want to get top dollar for it; I always tell my clients "to command top dollar for your home, it should reflect the sales price". Even in today's hot real estate market, a few small changes will always pay off. Huge renovation jobs, not so much. You don't have to break the bank to make a difference in how your home does on the market, a little zhuzh here and there can go a long way.

Homes that get multiple offers at or above list price are the ones where the homeowner has spent some time and money to clean and pretty up. Be "that" home... First, get a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Wash your curtains or buy some inexpensive new ones. Make sure all the closet doors are on their tracks (a personal pet peeve of mine). Replace door handles and cabinet hardware. Fix leaky faucets and please please please clean the grout in the bathrooms, seriously.
