Spring has sprung and the grass has riz! It's time to get your green thumbs ready, gardeners! The first day of spring marks the start of the growing season and we're all itching to get planting. As the sun shines brighter and the days grow longer, it's the perfect time to dig into some gardening fun. As a Realtor, I've seen my fair share of gardens, and I'm here to share some basic garden maintenance tips that will help your garden flourish this year.
Maintain hardscaping: check stonework, maintain flowerbeds and sprinklers/water features
Prune trees and shrubs
Test and feed your soil
Divide perennials and transplant shrubs
Start a compost pile
Apply a balanced fertilizer
Clean bird baths and feeders
Add mulch to help retain moisture
Rake around any early bloomers to help them out of the soil
Let's not leaf this opportunity behind and prepare your garden for a bloomin' great season ahead. With a little dirt therapy and some good old-fashioned hard work, we can ensure a crop load of veggies and flowers that will be the envy of the neighborhood.
So, let's get growing and show off your gardener's wit and wisdom!
Happy Spring!
